A matching module number does not guarantee matching hardware
Yanhua lists support for both generations on some modules, while other offers use hardware intended for ACDP-2. The module number identifies an application area; it does not by itself establish whether an adapter fits your base device.
Identify your configuration
Check the base-device model, serial number, adapter markings and active authorisations. P2 markings on certain adapters identify a version to verify against ACDP-2 documentation. A similar-looking connector is not sufficient evidence of compatibility.
Software and connection
The official Yanhua download page lists separate desktop software for ACDP and ACDP-2 alongside mobile applications. Select the installer for the correct generation and follow its official instructions. An application update is not the same as purchasing an additional functional licence.
Buy the expansion you need
Car Diag Croatia can compare your current set with the proposed expansion before ordering. Send clear photographs of device and adapter labels, without sharing account passwords or unnecessary vehicle-owner personal data.
A difference documented by the manufacturer
The original ACDP documentation describes Wi-Fi operation with a computer or mobile device. For ACDP-2, Yanhua also lists a direct USB connection and shows connection diagrams for iOS, Android and PC. Check the appropriate cable and application for your device; do not assume that every connection method applies to every operating-system combination.
Check the version, not just the module number
The official catalogue has separate ACDP and ACDP-2 entries for some modules. A matching function number alone is therefore insufficient when ordering an adapter. Compare equipment markings, contents lists and the base-device generation. Decide whether an adapter can be retained or must be replaced only after checking the specific configuration.
Download software for the actual generation
The official download page separates ACDP and ACDP-2 PC software. Check the current release and listed requirements there instead of relying on an old installer. The Car Diag knowledge hub provides links to software and instructions for further verification.
Does buying ACDP-2 automatically transfer every old licence?
Do not assume a transfer. Before ordering, provide the serial number, current authorisations and intended new configuration so that the available expansion or transfer conditions can be checked.
