TOPDON VIS002 UV
TOPDON VIS002 UV combines a standalone inspection screen with white and 365 nm UV illumination. It is intended for confined-space viewing and for examining compatible fluorescent leak-detection dye or UV markings where ordinary white light is insufficient.
Inspection capabilities
Choose white or UV light
The head combines three white LEDs with three 365 nm UV LEDs. Switch lighting to suit visible-surface inspection or fluorescence checks.
Match the probe to the task
The 8.5 mm head uses a 0.3 MP camera with a 62° field of view and a 40–60 mm depth of field. Check available clearance and the viewing distance before selecting this model.
Steer the view
The thumbwheel controls the two-way 210° articulation. The semi-rigid one-metre probe can be guided around obstructions and held in position for inspection.
Work without a phone
The integrated 4.3-inch IPS screen displays the live view. Inspection does not require a smartphone, a Wi-Fi connection or an app.
Probe protection, clearly defined
IP67 applies to the probe head and cable, not the display unit. The specified operating range is -10°C to 50°C; let hot components cool before inspection.
Control white-light brightness
Three white-light brightness levels help balance dark cavities and reflective surfaces. UV visibility also depends on the dye or marking being examined.
Document with sound
Save JPG images and AVI recordings; the manufacturer specifies an integrated microphone for video with audio. A 32 GB microSD card is included, with support up to 128 GB.
Use beyond the engine bay
Potential applications include automotive, HVAC, plumbing and facility inspections where the access, temperatures and materials are suitable. UV capability does not turn the instrument into a thermal imager.

VIS002 or VIS002 UV?
VIS002 prioritises narrow access and visible-light detail: 5.5 mm, 1 MP, 90° field of view and 15–100 mm depth of field. VIS002 UV adds fluorescence inspection: 8.5 mm, 0.3 MP, 62° field of view and 40–60 mm depth of field. The UV version is a different application choice, not a higher-resolution upgrade.
Before inspection
Use the camera on stationary, safely isolated equipment and follow the supplied manual. Do not force the articulated tip or put it near moving or hot parts. These are visual inspection tools, not thermal cameras or medical devices.
UV inspection requires a suitable fluorescent dye or marking; the camera does not automatically detect every leak. Dye is not listed in the package. Avoid direct UV exposure to eyes and skin and follow the safety instructions for the equipment and dye.
