TOPDON VIS002
TOPDON VIS002 is a standalone inspection camera for viewing confined automotive and workshop spaces. Its slim 5.5 mm probe, 1 MP camera and adjustable head help you examine visible surfaces before deciding whether further disassembly is needed.
Inspection capabilities
Reach narrow openings
The 5.5 mm camera head suits restricted access points, including suitable spark-plug or glow-plug openings. Check the opening size and access route for the specific engine.
Inspect surface detail
The 1 MP camera provides a 90° field of view and a 15–100 mm depth of field. Use the image to document visible scoring, deposits, corrosion or damage; a visual finding still needs appropriate technical interpretation.
Steer the view
The thumbwheel controls the two-way 210° articulation. The semi-rigid one-metre probe can be guided around obstructions and held in position for inspection.
Work without a phone
The integrated 4.3-inch IPS screen displays the live view. Inspection does not require a smartphone, a Wi-Fi connection or an app.
Probe protection, clearly defined
IP67 applies to the probe head and cable, not the display unit. The specified operating range is -10°C to 50°C; let hot components cool before inspection.
Adjust white illumination
Eight white LEDs illuminate the inspection area. Adjust brightness to the surface and distance to reduce glare on reflective parts.
Save the evidence
Record JPG photographs and AVI video for job records. The included 32 GB microSD card can be replaced with a supported card of up to 128 GB.
Retrieve small loose parts
A hook and a magnet are included for suitable small loose objects. Choose the attachment to suit the object and access path; do not use the probe as a lever.

VIS002 or VIS002 UV?
VIS002 prioritises narrow access and visible-light detail: 5.5 mm, 1 MP, 90° field of view and 15–100 mm depth of field. VIS002 UV adds fluorescence inspection: 8.5 mm, 0.3 MP, 62° field of view and 40–60 mm depth of field. The UV version is a different application choice, not a higher-resolution upgrade.
Before inspection
Use the camera on stationary, safely isolated equipment and follow the supplied manual. Do not force the articulated tip or put it near moving or hot parts. These are visual inspection tools, not thermal cameras or medical devices.
