Description
TOPDON ArtiDiag EU for European vehicle diagnostics
ArtiDiag EU is designed for workshops and experienced users working on selected BMW, Mercedes-Benz and VAG vehicles and affiliated brands. It connects to the vehicle by diagnostic cable and provides a 4-inch touchscreen for viewing faults, live data and available service procedures.
Vehicle and function coverage
TOPDON lists 15 coverage entries: Mercedes-Benz, Maybach, Sprinter, BMW, MINI, Rolls-Royce, Volkswagen, Audi, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VW_CV), Škoda, SEAT, Bugatti, Bentley, MAN TGE and Lamborghini.
This list does not mean every model year, control unit or function is supported. Check the model, year, engine and required task before purchase. Diagnostic menus depend on the vehicle and installed software; the MAN entry covers the TGE line, not the entire MAN range.
Diagnostics and component testing
- Supported-system diagnostics: retrieve control-unit information, read and clear fault codes, and generate diagnostic reports.
- Live data: view values and graphs, compare up to four parameters in a combined graph, and record data for later review.
- Active tests: send commands to supported components to check their response. Available tests depend on the vehicle model, year and system.
- OBD II: inspect emissions-related faults, I/M readiness status and freeze-frame data, alongside live readings and supported monitor tests.
Coding, guided functions and maintenance
ECU coding allows supported control-unit settings to be changed. TOPDON lists online coding for Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda, VW_CV, SEAT and Bentley, and guided functions for Volkswagen, Audi, Škoda and VW_CV. These lists do not guarantee every operation on every vehicle from those brands.
Listed service procedures include oil-service reset, throttle relearn, steering-angle sensor reset, ABS bleeding and gearbox adaptation. Select a procedure supported by the specific vehicle and follow its prerequisites. Clearing a fault code does not repair its cause.
Updates and connectivity
TOPDON specifies free lifetime software updates for ArtiDiag EU. Downloads are available over Wi-Fi through the update menu. Wi-Fi is also required for initial activation; once activated, diagnostic functions in the installed software can be used offline. Online coding and other online services require an internet connection.

Frequently asked questions
Does it identify every vehicle automatically?
No. AutoVIN is not available on every vehicle. If automatic identification fails, the manual provides for manual VIN entry or manual vehicle selection.
Does ECU coding also mean control-unit software programming?
These are not equivalent. The stated coding capability concerns supported settings and functions. It should not be taken as confirmation of ECU software reprogramming or tuning capability.
Do free updates guarantee support for every new vehicle?
No. The free-update provision concerns software updates, not universal coverage of future vehicles or functions.
