Description
TOPDON UltraDiag for diagnostics and active tests
UltraDiag is an automotive diagnostic tablet with an 8-inch screen and a detachable VCI that attaches magnetically to the tool. The VCI plugs into the vehicle's diagnostic socket and communicates with the tablet over Bluetooth, making it easier to monitor data while working around the vehicle. On supported applications, the tool covers systems such as the engine, transmission, ABS, airbags and air conditioning.
Check systems and component response
- Read and clear fault codes, identify control units and view live operating data.
- Use AutoVIN and automatic scanning to begin a diagnostic assessment of supported vehicles.
- Command supported actuators, such as coolant pumps, windows or wipers, through bidirectional tests.
- Save diagnostic reports and record or replay data for comparison before and after repairs.
An active test sends a command to a component so its response can be checked; it is not a key-programming function. The repair data library provides fault-code guidance, technical service bulletins and diagnostic socket locations.
Maintenance functions with defined purposes
Depending on the vehicle, service menus include oil-service resets, electronic parking brake servicing, ABS bleeding, battery matching, DPF regeneration and injector coding. Injector coding is a specific service procedure, not evidence of general ECU coding or firmware flashing capability. TPMS reset concerns the relevant system information and settings; it does not mean the tablet wirelessly activates or programs wheel sensors. Check a separate suitable TPMS tool for those tasks.
IMMO and battery testing
TOPDON offers an IMMO upgrade for supported key and remote learning in owner-authorized workshop work. Confirm IMMO activation and any required accessories separately for the supplied package and the intended vehicle.
For battery-condition measurements, UltraDiag supports the optional BTMobile Pros tester, sold separately. A BMS matching procedure after battery replacement is not the same as measuring battery health. Before selecting the tool, check the intended procedure against the vehicle model, year and system.
