TS005 for outdoor observation

TOPDON TS005 is a handheld thermal monocular for wildlife observation, checking outdoor areas and search support. It has its own eyepiece and can also be used with a tripod. It displays thermal contrast in a scene for observation rather than calibrated temperature readings from workshop components.

Optics and thermal imaging

• 384 x 288 IR sensor, 50 Hz refresh rate and NETD below 35 mK.
• Adjustable-focus 35 mm lens with separate eyepiece adjustment.
• 1x, 2x, 4x and 8x digital magnification and five colour palettes.
• 1024 x 768 display resolution, distinct from the IR sensor's resolution.

Distance and recording

The manufacturer specifies heat-source detection up to 1280 m and laser distance measurement up to 594 m. Detection is not the same as identifying detail; scene contrast and observation conditions affect the result. Built-in 64 GB memory stores photographs and video, while a compass provides directional information.

Power and preparation

The housing is rated IP65. Power comes from a replaceable 18650 battery, with approximately three hours of stated runtime per battery.
