Charging and maintenance

Tornado4000 is a compact mains-powered charger for maintaining supported batteries while a vehicle is in use or storage. It supports 6 and 12 V lead-acid batteries and suitable 12 V lithium batteries. The 4 A maximum is not a constant current in every programme; charging behaviour follows the selected mode and battery condition.

Selecting the appropriate programme

The programme must match the battery's nominal voltage, chemistry and permitted charging current. Support for 12 V lithium batteries does not imply support for every lithium chemistry or voltage. Indicators show charging progress, while the maintenance function replenishes the charge of a suitable battery.

Version and package contents

Before ordering, confirm the unit revision and corresponding instructions, supported battery capacity, mains plug and supplied connection leads. Available programmes and capacity range depend on the revision. This charger is not a vehicle jump starter and does not guarantee recovery of damaged or worn batteries.
