Description

Phoenix XLink: a complete tablet with integrated communication

TOPDON Phoenix XLink is a complete diagnostic tablet, not a standalone LINK or MDCI interface. Its vehicle communication module is built into the tablet, with a diagnostic cable connecting it to the vehicle. This arrangement suits work beside the car, from an initial fault assessment to a check after repairs. CAN-FD and DoIP support provide communication with compatible newer vehicles; protocol support alone does not establish coverage for every model or operation.

Investigate faults and check component response

  • Access supported vehicle systems to read and clear trouble codes and inspect live operating data.
  • Use topology mapping to see control-unit connections and status. Compatible vehicles can benefit from parallel scanning of up to eight systems.
  • Run available active tests to command actuators and compare their response with measured data.
  • Access a software catalogue of over 41 maintenance functions, including oil service reset, steering angle calibration, battery matching, ABS bleeding and DPF procedures.

Graphs can combine up to four data streams for comparison. Diagnostic reports help document the initial condition and the result of repairs. The actual tests and service routines available depend on the vehicle and its fitted systems.

Cloud programming and workshop hardware

XLink supports cloud programming for selected Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi control units, alongside coverage-dependent online coding. This is not a promise to program every ECU. Confirm the exact operation, internet connection, licence and required vehicle power support before scheduling programming. Protected FCA functions require the appropriate authorised security-gateway access.

The tablet runs Android 10 on a 2.0 GHz quad-core processor with 4 GB RAM, 128 GB storage and a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 display. Battery capacity is 12600 mAh. Heavy-duty expansion needs separately obtained compatible software and hardware; the integrated interface's voltage capability does not itself include truck coverage.
