Description

Phoenix Nano: standalone diagnostics through a wired connection

TOPDON Phoenix Nano is an 8-inch diagnostic tablet running its own Android 10 platform, not an adapter that requires a mobile phone. A diagnostic cable connects the vehicle to the tablet's DB-15 port. Wi-Fi provides access to network services rather than replacing the wired vehicle connection. This format suits a workshop looking for system diagnostics, actuator checks and service adaptations in a compact device.

Functions for practical vehicle assessment

  • Read and clear trouble codes and analyse data in supported engine, transmission, brake, airbag and other vehicle systems.
  • Communicate with compatible vehicles through CAN-FD and DoIP; these protocols do not guarantee support for every control unit.
  • Use active tests to command supported actuators and observe their response during fault investigation.
  • Access 32 maintenance functions in the software catalogue, including oil service reset, electronic parking brake service, steering angle calibration, ABS bleeding and DPF procedures.

VAG guided functions assist with supported service operations. Data recording and graphs help compare operating conditions, while diagnostic reports and history preserve findings for later review. This provides a practical way to document the vehicle before an intervention and compare the result after repair.

Coding, hardware and optional expansions

Coverage-dependent online coding is available for selected Audi, BMW, Porsche, Nissan, Hyundai and Kia vehicles, among others. Configuration coding is not the same as ECU firmware programming. Protected FCA functions require appropriate authorised access. Always check the exact procedure against the model, year, control unit, installed software and licence.

Nano uses a 2.0 GHz quad-core processor, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage, a 1280 x 800 display and a 6000 mAh battery. T-Ninja Box support refers to an additional expansion for authorised security-system work, not an integrated universal programmer. ADAS procedures require suitable additional calibration equipment and the relevant software activation.
