Battery and system checks

BT200 tests 12 V lead-acid batteries and checks 12 V and 24 V starting and charging systems. Supported types include flooded, AGM, GEL and EFB batteries. Its 24 V system coverage does not mean that the basic battery condition test supports every 24 V battery.

Results on the device

A 2.4-inch colour display presents results and test menus. The tester reports voltage, estimated battery health and state of charge, and cold-cranking performance. Separate starting and charging checks help distinguish a battery issue from a problem elsewhere in the electrical system.

Choosing and interpreting the test

Before ordering, check that the battery type and ratings fit the supported tests and confirm the package contents. Selecting the correct rating standard and maintaining good clamp contact are important for useful results.
