OBDSTAR MT502 for electric A/C compressor testing
OBDSTAR MT502 is a dedicated bench-testing device for supported electric scroll air-conditioning compressors. It sends CAN control signals to the compressor so that operation can be checked outside the vehicle within a suitably prepared test setup. It is intended for professionals carrying out authorized repairs to automotive air-conditioning and electrical systems.
Application and compressor selection
MT502 helps assess the operation of a compatible compressor during repair. It is not an all-vehicle diagnostic scanner or an air-conditioning refrigerant service station. Support depends on the exact compressor variant and the function available in the software, not simply the vehicle brand.

Equipment and safe working conditions

High-voltage components must only be handled by appropriately qualified professionals. The power supply, protective equipment and test conditions must comply with the device and compressor manufacturers' instructions. Successful compressor activation alone does not establish the condition of the complete air-conditioning system. Check the component identification and corresponding coverage entry before each test.
